Stop trying so hard.. Start having more fun Stop trying hard and start having fun. You will also be surprised when I say it is easy to shift this common and very American belief. That you have to work hard to be successful and achieve happiness in your life. Let’s start off by asking what is success? What will make you happy? If you are like many of the students that arrive at Yoga of the Mind the answers you used to give to these questions are not working for you any longer. Instead you might be feeling overwhelmed, sad, depressed and confused. What if you trusted your intuition and did more of what you love everyday? We are all experiencing this strong pull to uncover our individual gifts. We are longing to do what we love and to do more within our unique experience of being a human and being alive. Following your intuition is doable. Your intuition is speaking to you all the time. You are just not listening. You are favoring your busy logical mind. Yes, there is a solution and it is so easy that you might have discarded it. Why? Because the mantra in American is That you have to work hard to be successful and achieve happiness in your life. WRONG! The definition of crazy is doing the same thing over and over getting the same results but expecting a different outcome. How about this idea: Try something new, that is easy and fun. What if your life flowed like water supporting you on your personal journey. What if instead of using your energy to make things happen and then struggle with the non-fun aspects of the journey you followed your heart instead? What if your energy went into creating and having fun instead of forcing something happen? What if you stop saying “I learned valuable lessons and now I know what to avoid in the future.” What if instead you said, “WOW! That was great and I want more of it.” This is the truth that has been hidden from us. That truth is that following our own intuition which is our own compass is how we can contribution the most to society, our families and ourselves. We can still achieve success and happiness, but on our terms. Yoga of the Mind holds the space for you to step into this wonderfully …Continue reading →
