How can it be August already? Unbelievable. Time is ‘a flying,’ and the planets have no intention of slowing down. We are well into Leo season, a time to shine your light and lean into your own heartfelt authenticity. But eclipse season is upon us, so pay attention to what’s shifting in your world. Here’s your astrological weather forecast for August.
Slow down in a season where speed leads. If July was filled with fireworks and forward momentum, then this month might be a good one to take a breath, slow down, and dare I say it — let go just a tad bit. Eclipse season can be highly charged and unpredictable, asking you to dig deep for your Leo courage. Oftentimes, it’s best to just sit back and see how and where the cards land. The new (12 Aug) and full (27 Aug) moons offer a little more potency than usual depending on your personal planetary ecosystem. Look for seed moments of new or unexpected beginnings, happening both individually and in the news. These will play out over the next six months or longer, and stories you’ve been living over the last 18 months might finally have a resolution, come to an end, or something might suddenly slip away. Leave some time for yourself to witness these changes.
There’s something new on the horizon. Collectively, old structures keep on creaking and will continue to do so, but a new energy has arrived in town asking us to prioritize community over the individual. There’s an invitation here, amongst the mess, to move away from pinning all our hopes on performative individuals and follow the path toward something more shared and heart-centered. Endings are always louder than the ushering in of the often-silent initiation of new beginnings. Pay attention to the minute moments, conversations, and small choices that will look like history when you look back a few years from now. Change is never pleasant or comfortable, but when something comes to a close, it makes room for new possibilities. As they say — when one door closes, another one opens.
So, here’s your assignment for August: Ask yourself where you are holding on a little too tightly? Could this be an area of your life that you have outgrown? Notice, become aware, then be ok with letting it go. The more you can be yourself, the easier everything can fall into place.
