What happens when you rely on your Intuition?

Apple founder Steve Jobs  trusted his gut. He listened to that inner voice and created something memorable. While Jobs’ story is overused, it’s inspiring.

There are many other’s – who were once ordinary Joes and Janes just like you.  They rely on their instincts and inner wisdom to make their daily decisions. In this article, we’ll share a few examples and what you can learn from them.

See the big picture – like Peyton Manning. Arguably the best quarterback in the NFL, he’s known for seeing the big picture and calling “audible offense” at the line of scrimmage. His talent lies in his ability to read a defense. He trusts his gut and adjusts his game when necessary.

As he says, “If nothing else in life, I want to be true to the things I believe in, and quite simply, to what I’m all about. I know I’d better because it seems whenever I take a false step or two, I feel the consequences.”

Do you know your big picture? Can you keep it in mind in the midst of adversity and challenging times? Take a nod from the self-described “best Manning.” It could help you down the road.

Make up your mind to be happy like Abraham Lincoln. Talk about a man who dealt with adversity in his daily life. He had a number of ailments, a country at war and lost all but one of his children. But he believed in making a decision to be happy. He said, “People are just as happy as they make up their minds to be.”

Be like Diane Sawyer – Pay attention. The famous TV personality once said, “The one lesson I have learned is that there is no substitute for paying attention.”

Paying attention to your inner voice, your gut and what your body is telling you is a huge part of using your intuition in everyday life. You have that sense when something’s wrong or something’s distracting you. Do you listen or stuff it? Listening. Paying attention to that feeling is a great step toward discovering how your intuition protects you and helps you have your best life.

When you listen to your intuition, this process is easier. You’re at peace and in tune with what is right for you. It’s much easier to separate yourself from challenging situations when you’re going with your inner voice.
